All new. All Maverick.
A worthy complement to our ML8, the new Durance’s cockpit is slightly stretched out for speed and balance in xc riding applications. Our lightest bike, the Durance is especially agile, and its aggressive geometry and 5.5 inches of rear suspension travel make this bike at home just about anywhere. You call the shots, and the Durance can handle it…and make you a better rider along the way. Built from a custom-drawn 6066-alloy tubeset, and featuring a lowered top tube, the Durance is built to perfectly complement the six-inch-travel DUC32 fork. We’ve also expanded the size range for the Durance. From small to XXL—riders up to 6’5” now have a Maverick to ride.
"This is the best Maverick we have tested to date...all the great stuff is still there (a bike that pedals great, soaks up the bumps, and is rock-steady on the nastiest terrain you point it towards.) If you want a bike that does everything well...the Durance fits the bill."

What MTB category does the Durance fall into?*
That’s a great question, because the Durance isn’t bad at anything. It climbs better than a hard tail, because there’s no power loss and the while you’re climbing the suspension is fully active. And it descends better than other full suspension bikes, thanks to MonoLink and Parallel Path Technology.
Intended use*:
Marathon / Epic trail rides / Super-D
